Wagers of Provo, recently attended the 129th National Convention of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks in Portland, Ore. Castleton is the current leader of Tintic Lodge No. 711 and Wagers leads Provo Lodge No. 849. Both men were commended for their dedication to Elkdom and its charities. Both are now recognized as voting members of the national organization. They spent four days last week, camping at the edge of the river and near the golf course in Morgan, Utah. They golfed (in the rain) at Round Valley Golf Course. Can you believe it?? Tintic writing project gets third commendation For the third time this year the Tintic Integrated Writing Project has received a commendation. This time, the commendation came from the Utah Rural Schools Association at their annual conference which was held at Cedar City on July 20-2Mr. George Haney and Miss Paula Meredith attended the conference and gave presentations about Tintics Integrated Writing Project. The presentations were well attended and many good comments were heard about the fine program which is being conducted by the Tintic School District.
