Show Rock Creek Road Is Opened To Upper Stillwater Approximately two more miles have been added to the road up Rock Creek and cars can now travel all the way to the upper stillwater at the edge of the Uinta primitive area Opening of the road by cutting through timbers and clearing rocks was done entirely on the last couple miles by William Davies who has moved his camp to upper stillwater where where- he operates a string of saddle and pack horses for fishermen and campers He moved in hi on August 1st he stated last week 1 Fishing on the first five or six miles of Rock Creek above the end end of the road is a almost most nil it was found in spite of some fish which have been planted in the vicinity From the Fall creek area on up there are arc still sUll plenty of fish however and those who have used horses and gone this far have all come back with fine catches The stream is unusually low this year and fishing is not the task it usually is in Rock Creek Because Because Because Be Be- cause of the low water many small fish are caught in the riffles and small holes and the fishermen must return a good per cent of his catch to the stream There are arc plenty of larger ones though especially in the larger holes with which to fill his basket The box canyon on the main stream above the mouth of Fall creek presents Beautiful stream fishing with easy easygoing easygoing going joing and plenty of fine holes full of fish All the length of the stream the water is perfectly clear and the good fisherman must keep back out of sight as much as poss possible ble bleto to have the best luck |
