G Stanley Black of the Ephraim Junior High School asked me Monday night to remind Ephraim Manti and Sterling residents that the 1969 Yule Candle presentations were just around the corner Dec 18 and 19 But his problem at the present present present pres pres- ent time Is to select worthy candidates to receive this hon hon- or He requests anyone who may have someone to nominate to write a letter to him at the school outlining some of their qualifications of service prior to Dec He really would appreciate your support Two Texas oilmen walked into a Cadillac agency and one picked out a sedan that caught his eye As he started to reach for his wallet his friend said Let me get this After all all you bought the lunch There Is a standing joke in Russia that the country's most successful inventor Is Comrade Reg US U.S. Pat Off One last thing that I would like to clarify In spite of the many times that we have Included in our news about the Ensign Ward Choir that the group was wass coming at their own expense many people still ask how much of our money will be heading back to Salt Lake with them In all fairness to the choir I must again stress that this whole thing Isn't even costing South Sanpete Stake one red cent In the letters sent to the stake by Mrs Macksene Rux she often mentions the fact that they want the stake to not go to any expense for this concert They want all monies to go toward toward to toward to- to ward the Mormon Miracle The choir will pay for thebus thebus the thebus bus to bring them down bring bringa a box lunch to eat prior to the concert and pay their own fare back again The thing that Intrigues me methe methe methe the most Is the fact that probably probably probably ably none of them have even seen the pageant yet they are dedicated to Its success Now I believe that it is up to us to show them that we who have seen the pageant are sold on It enough to pay for an outstanding evening of entertainment so that funds will willbe willbe willbe be available to expand next Julys July's presentation of the See you there |
