Section 7. PENALTIES. (a) Any person violating, causing or permitting violation of any provision of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Notwithstanding other language or provisions in the Utah Traffic Code Rules of Ihe Road 1978 hereby adopted, any violator of this part, upon conviction, shall be punished by a fine of not more than $299.00 or by a jail sentence not to exceed six months, or by both a fine and jail sentence, except as provided below.
