Show JOB WELL DONE March 29, 1991 B7 Hilltop Times To all Desert Storm force s r'mce the beginning of Desert Shield last August you vxhave traveled over great distances, through miles of dJ desert, to places we never knew existed, with names we cannot even pronounce. Some of you have completed the most important trip of u're home. The rest of you will soon follow. I want to tell you how immensely proud I am of each and all-yo- every soldier, sailor, airman, Marine, Coast Guardsman and civilian in this command. I asked you to be the thunder and lightning of Desert Storm. You were all that and more. Through your courageous acts, your dedicated service, your determination and your love of country, you have written history in the desert sands that can never be blown away by the winds of time. You take back with you to the United States not only the respect of your countrymen, but the respect of millions upon millions of citizens in the Middle East. You have demonstrated the best qualities of Americans through your respect for other religions, other cultures, other races and oiher nationalities. While you served here, you learned, rather than criticized, and by learning you'll take back to your homes knowledge little known about cultures that are thousands of years old. More importantly, you have left among those thousand-year-olcultures knowledge of what it means to deal with Americans. Your country is proud of you, the world is proud of you and I am proud of you. God bless you and God speed on your return. to your homes and families.
