Show 'Bays of '49' Are All ReadyTo Go With the juvenile parade promising prom-ising to occupy a big place in the activities of Milford's "Days of '49" celebration Friday, May 3, from "two till six", there is promised promis-ed a full round of entertainment for everybody. The parade project pro-ject has been put before the schools and other organizations and the response promises to develop de-velop several interesting surprises sur-prises in the way of youngster initiative. The juvenile parade at 2:00 o'clock will be the starter for the big show and from then on there will be plenty going on. Two or more Main street places will be devoted de-voted to all kinds of games of chance with plenty of 49'er money to make the wheels go 'round and keep them going until daylight day-light the next morning. Also, there will be the Legion Variety show with entertainment that will rival that of Paris, Vienna, Waikiki beach and what-have-you. An idea of the typical 49'er paraphernalia para-phernalia that will be in use in Milford on May 3 may be gained by the fact that Richfield is borrowing bor-rowing the local equipment bodily for their Lions club circus this coming Saturday. But it is being loaned to them only on their solemn promise to return it for the local celebration its return to be accompanied by a bi,g buncih of Richfield people. In addition to the Milford school band, which is gaining a good deal of favorable notice of late, plans for bringing the Beaver band and some others are being worked on by one of the sub-committees with a view to adding to the enteraintainment and the color of the occasion. The dance to be given in the evening will be another outstanding outstand-ing feature and every provision possible will be made to insure a good time for everybody. |
