brothers McKay and Lari Pikyasit sister Shirley James and Verna (Jackson) Pikyac it Madelan was bom on December 1943 in Richfield She was the sixth child out of the 10 children bom to the late Joseph and f mily (Sobquint) Pikyavit She married Thomas Redfoot in 1963 in Meadow Utah and divorced in 1967 Family was her life and family gatherings were one of her favorShe enjoyed her chilite activities dren grandchildren brothers sister nieces nephews and visiting with her Iriends She loved gardening her tive culture updating her family tree being a Tribal Historian traveling gambling in Mesquite playing cards and Handgame She also was one of the lead singers in the Traditional Salt Songs She w ill truly be missed by all those who knew and loved her A special thanks to the dialysis center and bom Oct 25 1934 to I mell Carlos and Lula Mae Howard Allred Fie married Ldith Ramsay on Sept 23 1960 in the Manti Temple Chess served an honorable mission for the L D S Church in the West Central States Mission in Montana and the Dakota's during Chess was an active member of the Church and served at two different times as an assistant to John Larsen in the High Priest Group in Delta 6th Ward He also served as second counselor in the Delta 6th Ward Bishopric with Bishop Roger Bliss Chess and Fdith were currently serving as Delta 7th Ward Home Cannery Supers isors Chess went to Cedar City to tend College of Southern Utah (now SUU) He began his teaching career in Green River Utah m 1962 teaching on a “Letter of Authorization” In order to continue teaching he had to return to C S U to earn his degree in 1966 with a Composite Major in Art Education He taught in Blanding Utah at San Juan High School front August 1966 through January 19X0 when he had to sign due to major health problems Chess underwent open heart surgery on May 9 19X0 and then moved his family from Blanding to Kanab in He began workDecember 19X0 ing at Kanab High School and then Kanab Llementary which made him want to become an elementary teacher He returned to college and earned He his elementary endorsement gan teaching 4th grade at the Delta South Llementary School in August 19X4 where he taught until Ins retirement in May 998 Since his retirement he and Edith have traveled extensively throughout y Protect Aour i LDS the United States Canada and the Bahamas having been in all of the states
