sion happens to other people and not them The fact is that depres- sion is a common problem in America today In fact one in five persons is seriously affected by depression at some time in their lives Now that the holiday season is over most people will be return- ing to regular routines and moving with their lives Other people however will not be quite so for-Some people will "hold it together" until after the holidays and then become extremely de- pressed The period just after Christmas is viewed by many pro- fessionals as a crucial period for depressed individuals Depression is widely misundcr-stood It is frequently ignored and left untreated People will fie- -
