Show Myton Mews by Grace Dalgleish Tuesday was work day for members of the Relief Society who gathered at the Ward Chapel to work on two lovely satin quilts and prepare other handiwork. Thirty-five members mem-bers came to lend a helping hand and all found there was work for all, Genene Peatross was teacher for the work day lession, "Development through homemaking and education". A delicious dinner was served during the noon hour as the ladies relaxed before returning to their labors. Alden Kyanston went to Salt Lake City, Sunday, to enter a hospital where he will undergo major surgery. His many friends wish him an early recovery. The many friends of Mrs. Emma (grandma) Tanner will be glad to learn that she is steadily improving, but at this writing is confined to the hospital at Price. She has been visiting her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Olsen at Spring Glen. Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Hansen Han-sen and family and Mrs. Erma J. Hansen, all of American Fork, were weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Clark. Members of the Ladies Aid gathered at the Presbyterian Presby-terian Church Monday and Tuesday to complete the quilting quilt-ing on a lovely patchwork quilt for Mrs. Gail B. Carey Jr. of Fort Duchesne. The group enjoyed a delicious potluck dinner at the noon hour and resumed their quilting. During the afternoon, light refreshments refresh-ments gave the workers time to relax. r Mr. and Mrs. Tony Uresk and family enjoyed a vacation trip to southern California last week. While there they visited Disneyland and other places of interest and visited friends, returning Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Orville Kyanston Kyan-ston of Fallon, Nevada, were visitors Friday at the Alden Kyanston ranch home and accompanied the latter to Salt Lake City, where he underwent under-went surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis and family of Salt Lake City were weekend visitors at the ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Faucett, parents of Lewis. Mr. and Mrs. Eldwin Wall will leave later this week, enroute to Blythe, California, where they will visit Mrs. Effie Nowland and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Angus. The two ladies are sisters of Mrs. Wall and are former residents of this area. Mr. and Mrs. Gareth Anderson Ander-son have returned from their holiday visit to California. They visited members of their family at Hawthorne, Calif., Burley, Idaho, Roy, Utah, and Orem, during their vacation trip. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Linck have been in Salt Lake City during the past week. Mr. Linck received medical, attention and was hospitalized for a few days and is now reported improving. Sunday morning services were conducted at the Presbyterian Presby-terian Church at 11:00 a. m. under the direction of the Clipper Mariners of the First Presbyterian Church of Salt Lake City. Mr. Robert Aupperle conducted the opening open-ing service and Mrs. Taylor J. Learning offered the morning prayer. Special music, a i vocal solo was rendered by Robert Aupperle, who is director of the choir of The First Presbyterian Church. The sermon "Mustard Seed Miracles" was presented by Taylor J, Learning, who brought a special spe-cial message in his sermon. A t the close of the service a lovely Bible was presented to Mr. and Mrs. Gail B. Carey, Jr. of Ft. Duchesne who had been very active members in the church and were leaving for Parker, Arizona, where Mr. Carey has been transferred and will take up his duties in the Indian Irrigation Service. The congregation and guests enjoyed delicious refreshments during the noon hour and all had the opportunity to greet the visitors and wish Mr. and Mrs. Carey good luck in their new location. Members of the Myton City work crew have been busy during the past week, trimming branches from the trees on Main Street and disposing of dead wood which had marred the residential area. When this project is completed in this district, the crew will continue their work to improve the appearance of our little town. All residents are urged to do their bit in this project and continue to improve not only their property, but help by removing unsightly debris from unused lots. If we all work together, we can improve im-prove the appearance of our home town. Let's get busy now and later too. Services will be conducted next Sunday, January 23, at 11:00 a.m. at the Myton Presbyterian Church by members mem-bers of the Christ Methodist Church of Salt Lake City.
