Show United States to Excel in Air ' Yonkers, N. Y. Describing the California-Hawaii flight as a fitting climax cli-max for the first year's progress, Assistant As-sistant Secretary Davison of the war department, in charge of aeronautics, outlined the army's program for the second twelve-month period of its five-year five-year aviation development plan in an address, before the Rotary club here. Praising the flight of Lieutenants Maitland and Hegenberger, Mr. Davison Davi-son said: "The courage and skill shown by the two pilots typify the spirit of the army air corps, while the efficient performance ot the plane points to the high standard set for army aircraft." |
