Castle Valley is in District 4, along with Cisco, Thompson, Elgin, and a big section of Spanish Valley. The primary election results from our district Bill Hedden, 223, Bobbie Domenick, 111, Frank Wilson, 101, Rex Bloom, 22, and Dave Stewart, 11. Our district will choose between Bill and Bobbie in the final election on Feb. 9. In the “at large” race, the original field of nine candidates has been narrowed to four. (The two people getting the most votes will get a seat.) Top runner in District 4 was Peter Haney with 1021 votes, followed by John Hartley, 637; Delbert Oliver, 568; Dan Holyoak, 452; and Bill Hofhine, 449. Trailing were Jim Nelson, 323, Joe Kingsley, 218, Curtis Freeman, 175, and Dennis Wilberg, 37. The final election is Feb. 9, when Castle Valley residents will vote for three candidates—one from our district (Bill Hedden or Bobbie Domenick) and two for the “at large” seats (Peter Haney, John Hartley, Delbert Oliver, or Dan Holyoak). ————Jack Campbell League of Women Voters CANDIDATE FORUM ( District 4 and At Large Candidates) BOBBIE DOMINICK County Issues: Roads, particularly Thompson Bridge and the main road through Castle Valley.
