Show I From C Hilltop Times Nov. 23, 1993 preceding page Education and Training Flight Jim Schroader, chief, said his people have been recognized by Air Force Materiel Command headquarters as being some of the most knowledgeable and skilled people in the Air Force education arena. His flight manages all training and education functions on base with the goal of providing the right training to the right person at the right time. This provides civilian and military employees with the appropriate training to coincide with both their education needs and their career progression. The program is vital to the quality of the Air Force. Training takes many forms: seminars, correspondence, local classrooms, temporary duty to school, computer courses and training. Organized under the flight's umbrella are the nities and counseling services to civilian and military personnel, including active duty, Air Force Reserve, Air National Guard, retired and family members. They are also responsiblefor programs ranging from basic skill levels to graduate studies as well as all military and academic testing. B Education and Training Operations Section responsible for development of the annual installation training plan and financial plan for Headquarters AFMC. This office also controls all centrally controlled headquarters training. B Quality Applications Section promotes quality as a way of life through education, training and consultations. Workers in the division advise and assist the commander, staff elements, and operating officials on matters pertaining to various civilian personnel programs. There are three branches and a data system team: 1 -- velopment, course delivery and post course consultation. Emphasis is placed on process analysis improvement and communication skills. D Education Services and Military Training Sec-tio- n provides educational and training opportu- rcanrmdllOwtatmT z Airman Leadership School Prepares senior airmen to assume supervisory duties. This entry-levenlisted professional military education program is available to all senior airmen at Hill after reaching 48 months' total active federal military service with 12 months retainability upon graduation. This five-wee-k course offers instruction and practice in leadership and followership, written and oral communicative skills, military citizenship and Quality Air Force. Students learn to appreciate their role as military supervisors and how they contribute to the overall goals and mission of the Air Force. el JO. .'r'T'iMfA : Personnel Data System Team Manages and maintains the overall automated personnel system, to Administers the civilian employment program, tracks manpower allocations, and develops and administers classification and position management programs. Personnel advise management and employees on all classification and position matters to include pay systems.
