Show BOMB FREES PRISONERS. Americans Had Been Forgotten by Their German Captors. New York. Rased from an Antwerp Ant-werp prison, where they had been confined two months suspected of being be-ing German spies, by means of a German Ger-man bomb which destroyed the prison walls, four Americans returned home Saturday on the steamship Red Cross, which left here last month with American nurses and ' doctors for European hattlefields. The men are Frank Rosney, Thomas MceKowan, Frank Smith and William Boyle, all of New York. According to their story they were forgotten when the city was hombard-ed hombard-ed by the Germans. ' On the second day of the attack a bomb tore away the wall of their prison and they made their way to Rotterdam, where they boarded the Red Cross. |
