At its beginning, and for some 21 years of the college and the local high school shared the same facilities. The campus is 1965, the legislature passed a bill changing tne name of the institution from Carbon College to College of Eastern Utah, thus reflecting the larger geographical area the college serves. In addition to the name change, the college campus began to take on a new image of progress. Since 1959, over 6 million dollars has been spent in creating a new look for the college.
