Starting April 24, the east half of Southgate Drive (Wardleigh Road to 4th Street) and the loading zones in front of Building 225 will be closed. Starting approximately May 10, the west half of Southgate Drive (Wardleigh Road to 4th Street) and the parking spaces in front of Building 100 will be closed. The center crosswalk between Buildings 100 and 225 will be closed during this construction. Airman comes to woman's rescue napped his former girlfriend and shot her in the leg. Packets will be accepted from 9 a.m. until noon. Volunteers are also being sought for the summer camp. Teen volunteers, age 15 and older, will be interviewed Wednesday, April 30, at 4:30 p.m. A mandatory training day for volunteers is scheduled for8a.m.~4p.m., May 17. Applications are now available at the Youth Center. A Hill Pride Day activities promoted The 75th Civil Engineer Squadron Self Help Center wi|l support efforts for Hill Pride Day, April 18. Lawn care and general area appearance will be supported through the issuance of tools such as rakes, shovels, wheel barrows and trash bags. Quantities are limited and will be issued on a firstcome, first-served basis. Due to limited funding, plants and decorative materials wilt not be supplied. However, the 75th CES will have wood chips available north of Building 916 for pickup and will load the mulch. Exterior touch ups to facilities must be accomplished in such standard paint colors as Dakota brown and graystone tan. Standard paint materials like roller kits, tape, paint brushes and other supplies will also be made available. Some facilities have issues relating to leadbased paint and asbestos. To ensure the safety of those working on a particular building, submit an E332 so testing can be accomplished prior to beginning the work. Michael Lehmiller, of Clearfield, Daniel Dolan, of Roy, and Michael Pursel, of Hooper, all died fighting in the global war on terror. The families of the three fallen soldiers are spearheading the local chapter of Operation Hometown: Roy Died: Aug. 27,2006, in Operation Iraqi Freedom . This success is primarily due to education within schools, awareness programs and the See MEMORIAL I page 6 See DONOR I page 5 AFMC calls two of Hill's enlisted 'outstanding' BY JOHN SCAGGS Air Force Materiel Command Public Affairs W RIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio — Air Force Materiel Command officials announced their top enlisted members April 2 during a ceremony at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. They were chosen from among 40 nominees recommended by leaders in their chain of command and respective centers as the best airmen. After reviewing nomination packages and conducting a final selection board, AFMC officials selected the best in four enlisted categories. The 2008 AFMC Outstanding Airmen of the Year are: Senior noncommissioned officer — Master Sgt. David R. Larriva, 95th Air Base Wing Explosive Ordnance Disposal Division, Edwards AFB, Calif.
