This year, after the allotted week when the city employees moved them to the side of the road so that they could cut the grass, two clay flower pots and a basket of red silk peonies were taken before I could get to the cemetery to pick them up I find it appalling that anyone could have the nerve to take someone else's flowers from the cemetery at any time! He enjoyed making things grow, gardening, fishing, and the Beaver Mountains. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. And was of his family He w as a good neighbor, friend, and will be Dougla Perry Blackburn Douglas Perry Blackburn, age 81, passed away on May 27 1 995 in Milford, Utah he was bom June 30, 1913 in Mincrsville, Utah to Anthony Hugh and Ida Hope Myers I I niy-- ij N y 6 . He married Elma Mary Thornpson on November 30, 1 932 in Adamsvillc, Utah and their marriage was solemnized in the St. George LDS Templeon January 22, 1966. Doug was a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion in Mincrsville Doug was an honest and a hard working man all his life. He was a friend to all. He loved to work in his garden and make his yard beautiful. Even throughout all his sickness he worried about bis yard and garden: he was a great example to his friends and family. He was a and father, husband, good grandfather. He was gentle, kind and very patient. lie is survived by his wife Elma of Mincrsville, Children, Ann Louise & Wayne Christensen of Billings, Montana, Hugh Earl & Sheila Blackburn of Beaver and Irma Jean Edwards of Elko, NV. 16 and 34 grandchildren great Brothers, Tom & grandchildren. He was preceded in Death by a Daughter Jackie Muir, Sister LaRue Turner, and Grandson Danny Blackburn Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, May 30, 1995 at 2:00 p.m. in the Minersville 2nd Ward Chapel. Friend called the Church Monday evening from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 12 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Interment was held in the Minersville Cemetery under the direction of the Olpin Mortuary. He is survived by his wife Barbara of Beaver, Children, Janette Ray Richards of St. George, Julie & Wendell Beck, Bonnie & Chad Campbell all of Mesa, AZ, Steven & Brenda Farnsworth of Bountiful, Chris ','& Melanie Farnsworth of Boise; ID, .' and Amanda Farnsworth 17 oF Prove Grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Tuesday May 30, 1 995 at 1 1 :00 a.m. in the beaver LDS 1st ward chapel. Friends called Monday from 7 p.m: until 9 p.m. at the Olpin Mortuary and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a m. at the Church. Interment was held in the Mountain View Cemetery under the direction of Olpin Mortuary. .
