Show SOUP: MAKE IT HOMEMADE BUT IN A HURRY r Nothing can beat a hearty bowl of hot soup to take the chill off a winter day. But with today's busy pace, it's often hard to find the time to make it from scratch. Make homemade soup in a hurry by starting with Hamburger Helper. The flavorful soup stock is made by combining the package of Sauce Mix with water. Add the noodles from the mix, vegetables and meat to serve a hearty bowl of soup with homemade taste in just t to 35 minutes. Here are two recipes to try. QUICK ITALIAN SOUP 1 pound ground beef 1 can (16 ounces) whole 12 cup chopped onion tomatoes 1 package Hamburger 2 tablespoons grated Par-Helper Par-Helper mix for lasagne mesan cheese 5 cups water 1 cup chopped zucchini 1 can (8 14 ounces) (about 1 small) whole kernel corn Cook and stir ground beef and onion in Dutch oven until beef is brown; drain. Stir in Sauce Mix, water, corn (with liquid), tomatoes (with liquid) and cheese; break up tomatoes with fork. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Reduce heat; cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes. Stir in Noodles and zucchini; cover and cook 10 minutes longer. Sprinkle each serving with grated Parmesan cheese if desired. 5 or 6 servings. High Altitude Directions (3500 to 6500 feet): Stir in Noodles and zucchini with the Sauce Mix. Continue as directed except cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 25 to 30 minutes. QUICK BEEF SOUP 1 pound ground beef 14 teaspoon salt 12 cup chopped onion 18 teaspoon pepper 1 packag" Hamburger 1 can (16 ounces) whole Helper mix for beef noodle .tomatoes 5 cups water 1 package (10 ounces) fro-1 fro-1 bay leaf zen mixed vegetables or 2 cups cooked vegetables Cook and stir ground beef and onion in Dutch oven until beef is brown; drain. Stir in Sauce Mix, water, bay leaf, salt, pepper and tomatoes (with liquid); break up tomatoes with fork. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Reduce heat; cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes. Stir in Noodles and vegetables; cover and cook 10 minutes longer. 5 or 6 servings.
