Show W r ' H The death of Mr. William Donnell was Inex- H I pressibly sad. It is but a little while since he H ' i married one of the most beautiful young ladies in H i the city, and their marriage day was lighted with H j i what seemed well-founded hopes of a long and H ! joyous life for both. But there has been little Hji t out sickness, suffering and anxiety since a few Blj ,, j months after their marriage, and the climax of Hi f'm anguish came when the young man died and the Hjt , a young wife was prostrate with Illness and unable H j1! to be at his side. God rest his soul and God pity B j i the girl-wife that in her desolation is comfortless H j' ;M and broken-hearted. H m The Herald exults that Kentucky has actually H "fm gone Democratic, and thinks that in as much as B H the Democracy has carried Kentucky, Maryland H l, and New York City, it has secured "about all that H IjjiJ is worth having." We believe that neither Mis- H wm sissippi, South Carolina nor Texas had an elec- H,, nj tion this year or the Herald might have increased H jjjjfl its enthusiasm over the forecast for the future H ( M presented by this year's elections. Really it does H not require a great deal to make some people Bf jfjn happy. No Democrats have ben hanged in Ken- H(' tucky lately, have there? |
