Liahoma Holiday held at church get-togeth- Liahoma Holiday was held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Eureka LDS Ward with teachers, mothers and girls attending. The event consisted of two parts, first the advancement; during which part the Merri-hangraduated from Priwere given special and mary honor. There were nine girls graduated. Second part included an advancement ceremony in which Firelights were advanced to Merrihands, Gaynotes were advanced to Firelights and the Top Pilot girls were advanced and welcomed into the Gaynote Class. At the conclusion of the ceremonies a party was held in the cultural hall. The theme of the Lihoma Holiday was Isle of Dreams" and decorations carried out the theme in a colorful arrangement. Mr. and Mrs. James Muth and two boys, Jimmy and Tom, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bernini and sons, David and Jimmy, and Larry Ewell were in Saratoga Resort last Sunday attending the State Catholic Day Picnic. ds Party honors daughter's birth Mrs. Curtis Butler entertained at a childrens party last Wednesday, honoring on the her ocdaughter, Barbara, casion of her fifth birthday anniversary. Barbaras guests were kept busy playing games and Mrs. Butler served delicious party refreshments, complete with a beautiful birthday cake to Barbaras friends: Andi Jo and Patti Robinson, Carla and Chet Wall, Johnny and Freddie S u z i e Eastwood, Laura Ann Blight, Mary Jane and Jim Hone of Payson. Barbaras aunt, Mrs. Wyroa Hone, assisted Mrs. Butler in serving and entertaining the little people. Bad-ertsch- er, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Thomas, Mrs. Myrtle Theriault, Leslie Randle and V. L. Anderson were in Nephi Tuesday evening attending a meeting of Juab County Republicans. Father Lawrence Sweeney of Salt Lake City was in Eureka over the wekend. He celebrated the Sunday morning mass at St. Patricks Church. Father Strancar, pastor of St. Patricks Church was in California for a few days. Guests of Miss Joan Quigley home are Miss Mary Kay Tobel of Las Vegas, and Miss Madeline Garrett of Salt Lake City. at the James Quigley Mr. Leonard Cutler and family of Palo Alto, California, are visiting here at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Pett. Mrs. Fred Laird and family returned home last Wednesday after spending four days in Preston, Idaho, visiting with the Clyde Checketts family. They also visited in Brigham City with Willard Sparrow, Lorna Coddington and the Richard Hone family and the Novell Checketts. Mrs. Nellie Laird and her house guests, Mr. and Mrs. Phil Laird of Monrovia, California, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Laird and family, Hamilton Laird and Fred Laird enjoyed an outing tn Saturday and Sunday at Cow Hollow in the West Tintic er Mrs. Thelma Roberts is confined to the Payson Hospital where she underwent emergency surgery Sunday evening. Her host of friends in Tintic are wishing her the best in the way of a speedy and complete recovery. Larry and Randy Sparrow returned home Tuesday night after spending three days at Yellowstone Park. The trip was made with an aunt, Janice Horc and family. Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Griggs and Ronald enjoyed a three-da- y fishing trip last week. They fished at Otter Creek, Pine Lake and on the Fremont River. They returned home Friday evening. Eileen Judge returned home Monday afternon after spending a weeks vacation in Salt Lake City with her brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Judge. Eileen's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Judge made the trip to the city to bring her home. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Cook and three children are being wel- comed back to Eureka to make their home. They have been living in Anaheim, California, for the past few years. Joe is a former resident of Eureka. Paul Hansen underwent surgery Monday morning at the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo. His many friends are wishing him a speedy and complete recovery. Mr. and Mrs. Mac Bigler, Mr. and Mrs. Kay Colovich, and son, Kent, and Kirk Drussel spent a few days during the week at Fish Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lucas and Dage Three son, Mike, of Salt Lake City were back in town over the weekend visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Dan Lucas and getting acquainted with the new baby at the Dan Lucas home. Vincent Montoya family, but wish them the best in their new home. Mrs. Anna McDonncl returned home on Tuesday after a six week vacation spent in California. She spent four weeks in Long Beach with her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. William McDonncl, and another week was spent with a daughter, Mrs. Maureen Dunn in Burbank, and another week she was the guest of her grandson and his family, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Milne in Long Beach. One of the highlights of the trip was a tour of the Universal Studios in Hollywood, where she saw the making of some of the pictures shown on TV and many other interesting places in the Los Angeles area. The trip was by plane. She was met at the day morning after spending the weekend in Mammoth with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Salt Lake Airport Euesday afternoon by her daughter, Mrs. Lila Milne, and Mrs. Arlene Mr. and Mrs. Alan Lester and family of Evanston, Wyoming, left for their home Mon- Toonc. Sunday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Livingston were Mr. and Mrs. Andrus Nelson of Moroni. The Living- stons and their guests drove out to West Tintic and enjoyed a steak fry. Mrs. Wendell Fletcher and children of Salt Lake City spent the weekend here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Snell. "HELLO Milne. Mrs. Ada McIntyre and Ann of Salt Lake City spent the weekend here and in Mammoth with friends. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Baderts-che- r and boys spent the weekend at Flaming Gorge Dam. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Jasper and grandchildren, Ronnie and Susan Eastwood, are spending the week at Flaming Grogc Dam. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Orgill and children of Livermore, California, left Saturday morning for their home after a three-wee- k visit here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Berry and in Mona with his mother, Mrs. Suzie Orgill. 50 L OFF!
