Show WILLIAM HODSON, A UTAH PIONEER, DEAD Mr. Wm. Hodson, a pioneer of Utah, died at A o'clock this morning at the residenco of his daughter, Mrs. Wm. G. Rhead. His illness was sort and death came unexpectedly and was induced in-duced by nephritis. Mr. Hodson was born in Quarrlng-ton Quarrlng-ton Hill, England, August, 1831, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ridforth Hodson, Hod-son, who came to Utah in 1863 in tho John R. Young company. He wns well-known, well-known, at one time being bishop of the North ward at Coalville and at the time of his death was a patriarch in the Church of Latter-Day Saints. He was also a veteran of the Black-hawk Black-hawk war. The following children survive: Mrs. Anna W. Rhead, Peterson; Peter-son; Benjamin F., of Camas; Mrs. Margaret Pack, Camas; Mrs. Sarah Carruth, Blackfoot, Ida.; Mrs. Mary I. Shepherd, Edward L. Hodson, Mrs. Ethel I. White of Camas, and a broth, John, of Bay Horse, Idaho. Funeral notice will appear later, and services will be held at the Llndquist chapel Interment will be in tho Coalville Coal-ville cemetery. nn |
