Show I CATHEDRAL NOTES. The members of the League of the Cross held their usual monthly meeting meet-ing last Sunday. The members of the Altar society met last Monday afternoon. St. Mary's academy opened last Tuesday with a large enrollment. Sister Frances Clare, the superior, returned from Notre Dame last week and the school opened under the most favorable auspices, i f Rehearsal for the little ones of the Junior choir will be held on Saturday at 2:"0. The young girls practice at 4 o'clock, and the St. Cecelia chorus on i Sunday morning after 9 o'clock mass. Mrs. Grace Davi Huff will sing at the cathedral on Sunday. Mrs. Huff was for many years the contralto soloist of the cathedral choir, and it will give much pleasure to her many friends to hear her beautiful voice again. She is at present visiting ber mother, but will shortly visit Los Angeles before returning to her home at Hot Springs. Ark. -4 Thursday All Hallows college opened for its twentieth year, with the Very Rev. John J. Guinan continuing in the position of president. A prosperous year is looked for, as the enrollment promises to be large. . Sister Mary Bartholomew, who for the past thirty years has been connected connect-ed with St. Mary's hospital, has re- mined to Notre Dame. Jnd.
