Condon chaperoned a party of young people on a two days' outing j at "The Pines" on Pocatello creek last .Sunday and Monday. The part con-J con-J sisted of Misses Katherine Ran, ' Maude Thomas. Pet, Kate and Anna I Coffev. Nellie O'Connell. Nellie C-mtion. I and Messrs. Tracey, Kinney. Hi'irle. Donoghue, Van Engelen. Mood and Condon. All returned tired and tam.td, but happy. Miss Lena Redly left Mondav for a visit with friends and relatives in Butte, Mont. The Knights of Columbus are preparing prepar-ing for an initiation, banquet and ball the last of the month. The boys are all looking forward to a good time and so are the girls. The sisters have returned from their vacation and school will open at St. Joseph's on Monday next. t The Misses Kathleen and Myra Kane, Gussio Kohl and May Bushey will attend at-tend the Sacred Heart academy at Og-den Og-den this rear. St. Joseph's .music class resumed lessons Monday, Sept. 4th. Piano, organ or-gan and all kinds- of stringed instruments instru-ments taught. For particular information informa-tion call on Sister Superior, St. Joseph's School. 4- JackVaughan w as pretty badly stung bv a tarantula while working on Sam Smith's ranch on Gibson Jack creek Mr. Vaughan was digging post holes and, reaching down to lift a rock, felt something sting his hand, and when he looked he found a big tarantula hanging hang-ing to it. The doctor will be able to fix him up in a few days. f The Blackfoot Mail says "the population popula-tion of Blackfoot will soon be officially given out. Census Enumerator Johnson John-son says that he has already taken on his rollsi over 2.100 people. He estimates esti-mates that without doubt there are 3.C00 peoole within one mile of the O. S. L. depot at Blackfoot. The school census will show between 71-0 and 800 children of school age. |
