Show BPW President Addresses Club Members About 75 members of the Cedar City, St. George and Kanab business bus-iness and Professional Women's clubs, gathered at the Zion National Na-tional park lodge Monday eve-ing eve-ing to meet and hear Dr. K. Fran-cis Fran-cis Scott, national president of BPW clubs. Dr. Scott, associate professorof hygiene at Smith college, Northhampton, North-hampton, Mass., was in attendance attend-ance at the State Convention of BPW clubs at Tooele last week end, and made the trip to southern south-ern Utah upon the invitation of the southern district officers. The 75 club members, more than 30 of them from the Cedar City club, were guests at a dinner din-ner at the lodge at which Dr. Scott gave an interesting discussion discus-sion of club objective and problems. prob-lems. Accompanying the national president on the trip to southern Utah were Mrs. Susanna A. Grua of Salt Lake City, newly elected state president of Utah BPW clubs, and Mrs. Gwen Banks, formerly for-merly of Cedar City, newly elected elect-ed president of the Salt Lake City BPW club. ' The invitation to Dr. Scott to visit southern Utah was extended by Miss Eula Gardner, retiring president of the Cedar City club, and Mrs. Lillian Lunt, member of the state board of directors, both of whom attended the state convention. |
