Show :: o $ Program for July 4th Celebration Gets Undervay The East ward Entertainment committee has been given charge of preparing for the observance of Independence Day in Parowan again this year by Parowan City. The day's activities will be used by the ward to further its campaign cam-paign to raise funds for the new recreation hall to be built soon, and at the same time provide a day of fine entertainment for the people of the city. An invitation is being extended extend-ed to all members of the Paro-wan Paro-wan stake to spend at least a part of July 4th in Parowan. It is planned to have a parade and public meeting in the forenoon, sports, children's dance and band concert in the afternoon, with a dance in the evening. P. H. C.urr is chairman of the committee com-mittee in charge of the day's events with Ivan Decker, Pearl Russel, Josephine Pafamore and Claude Orton as memhers. The various ward organizations have been put in charge of the events of the day as follows: parade, Primary Association; public meeting, Bishopric; sports, Adult Aaronic Priesthood; child ren s dance, YLMIA; and dance in the evening, Sunday School. A food sale will be conducted during the day by Ihe Relief Society, So-ciety, and amusement and refreshment re-freshment concessions will be on hand from parade time until night with the priesthood quorums, quor-ums, YMMIA and boy scouts in charge. |
