It will adopt and promulgate an address to the American people and diviee ways and means for the proper education of ihe people of the land on the financial questi n, and to reach and get favorable action from the national na-tional congress, The convention entered upon its work yesterday most auBpiciously and iu a busiuees-like manner that gives assurance that the purpose for which it was convened will be fully carried out. After the delegates had been driven about Salt Lke city, the convention conven-tion matin the tabernacle at 12:20. It was called to order by Governor tiick-ards tiick-ards of Moutan.i, who delivered a speech outlining the objects he had in mind w hen he issued the call tor the convention.
