He started halfway into the motocross season and took first place at a meet in Ogden where he lapped eight people out of the 32, who competed in the 250cc beginner class. They had a mixture of cow mature on the track, which made for a slick stinky ride. Getchell continued his motocross racing with a meet at St. George where he was unable to plan the first day because ofewreck,but recovered the next dsy to finish second. "I wrecked on the triple jump. They have three mounds that you jump. 1 came up short, which set me back on my bike end I couldn't let go of the throttle. I went straight over the berm (hanked turn). It damaged my bike pretty pud. 1 had to fix v. everything. be said. Getchell has been riding n motor bike since he as 12 years old, and decided to get into racing while watching the sport on television with his dad. Perry.
