Fleming, son of Roger and Patricia Sumsion of Springville. The couple plans to be married on Friday, February 9, 2001 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple by Robert D. Hales. A reception will be held at Heritage Gardens, 2050 E. Creek Road (8150 South), Sandy, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The bride-to-be graduated from East High School, teaches Primary in her LDS ward and works full-time for Crossland Mortgage. The prospective groom also graduated from East High and recently returned home after serving serv-ing an LDS mission in Berlin, Germany. He is working full-time and plans-to attend the University Univer-sity of Utah next semester. He is a member of the Utah National Guard. The couple will make their home in Salt Lake City. Announcement is made by Craig and Rosemary Rose-mary Robertson of Springville, Utah, of the engagement of their daughter, Kristie, to Mike Miles, son of Jamie and Jackie Miles of Hayward, California. The couple plans to be married on Saturday, February 3, 2001 in Springville. A reception will be held that evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at 55 N. Main, Springville. Friends and fanuly are invited to attend. The bride-to-be graduated from Springville High School and Bon Losee Academy. She is currently working in Provo. The prospective groom is attending Utah Valley State College and is working at Utah Valley Medical Center. Mary Anderson Petersen Hiatt of Springville, .Utah, is eighty years old today, January 31, 2001. She was born on this day in 1921 in Glendale, Utah, the daughter of Minda Lucinda Harris Har-ris Anderson and John Sven Anderson. She married Mart J. Peterson of Springville in May of 1941 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They are the parents of four children: Gary Elvin Petersen, Payson; Paul Mart Petersen, Orem; Na-dine Na-dine Brown, Bountiful; and John Riley Petersen, Salem. She has 14 grandchildren and is expecting her nineteenth grandchild. Mart passed away in May of 1991. Mary married Darold Hiatt in April of 1994. They live at 790 E. 1000 South in Springville. Mary will celebrate her birthday birth-day at a family dinner.
