Crowther Elder Kade Caldwell Anna Valine Christiansen Elder Kade Caldwell has been called to serve in the Raleigh, North Carolina Mission. He will be giving his farewell address on Oct. 9, 2011 at 9 a.m. in the Gunnison First Ward. He will be entering the MTC on Oct. 12. Kade is the son of Kay C and Kim Caldwell and the grandson of Eugene and Sheila Bartholomew of Mayfield, and Paul and Gerda Caldwell of Gunnison. He is the greatgrandson of Carla Anderson of Centerfield. Axtell, Utah - Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, greatgreat-grandmother and friend, June Long Crowther, age 86, of Axtell, died September 27, 2011 in Richfield, Utah. She was born June 2, 1925 in Salina, Utah, a daughter of George Emery and Lois Arnetta Harding Long. She married Thomas Clarence Crowther, September 28, 1943 in the Manti LDS Temple. He died February 4, 1996. She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in the Primary presidency, Relief Society presidency, compassionate services and as a visiting teacher. June loved to fish, camp, crochet, quilt, garden and enjoyed watching birds. She is survived by her children: Arven and Wanda Crowther of West Valley City; George and Jan Crowther of Taylorsville; Neta and Lowell Draper of Manti; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Newell Crowther; a daughter-in-law: Darlene Curtis Crowther; a granddaughter-in-law: Lisa Crowther; a great-grandson: Bryce Rebillot; and two sisters: Eldean Martin and Bessie Carter. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Stonehenge of Richfield, for their tender and loving care of June during her final days. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Axtell LDS Ward Chapel, 75 West Center Street in Axtell, where friends may call for viewing Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. or Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Axtell Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah. Online guest book at: www.springerturner.com Richard Christensen Richard Keith Christensen, 69 of Centerfield and formerly of Richfield, passed away October 3, 2011 in Provo, Utah. He was born May 28, 1942, in Richfield to Boyde Black and Barbara Christensen. He graduated from Richfield High School in 1960. He married Linda Hendrickson, later divorced. They had three children: Barry (Wendi) Christensen, John Christensen and Jason Christensen who is deceased. He married Kathy Dee Allred, later divorced. They had two sons: Richard "Rick" (Mandy) Christensen, Michael "Mike" (Jennecca) Christensen; step-son, Tony (Sheila) Scott. Richard married Dellas Earlene Christensen, January 26, 1990, in Gunnison. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple in March of 2000. She has two children: Doreen (Robert) Nielson, Mark (Jerrilynn) Hansen. Richard started working at the age of eight helping farmers. He started driving a coca cola truck for his Dad at 16 which then started a life long career and love for truck driving. He drove over 6 million miles accident free. Richard was awarded the Utah State Driver of the Year in 2006 of which he and his family are very proud. He was an active member of the LDS Church. Richard enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, four-wheeling and spending time with his family. Achievement Congratulations to Anna Valine Christiansen who will celebrate her 80th birthday on Tuesday, October 4th! She was born to Austin and Devoda Voorhees on October 4, 1931. She has always lived her life full of love, compassion and courage in Mayfield. She is the wife of the late Stanley Angus Christiansen and "Mom" to Kenneth (Patty) Christiansen of Axtell, Robert (Diane) Christiansen of Mayfield, Fred (Laurie) Christiansen of South Jordan, and Richard (Sandy) Christiansen of Mayfield, as well as sister to Barbara Faatz of Mayfield, and Don (Cheryl) Voorhees of Pleasant Grove. Her posterity includes 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Chance's lamb won Grand Champion. He also won Showmanship in the Inter- mediate Division. Chelsea's lamb won Reserve Champion and also Showmanship in the Senior Division.
