Many members of the team, boys and girls, exceeded their averages in a combined effort as the team racked up points after points to take the first place seat; This is the first time in. Juabs track history that the track team has taken the grand sweepstakes prize of first place at a region meet. This honor is due largely to the fact that the team was able to pull together and support each other in crucial moments to pull ahead of the other teams. It was starting to get close in the final stages (of the meet), but the team rallied together and lined the track to cheer, said Coach Gary Nielson. Also, on the crucial events, Juab ran their fastest times ever. This was enough to keep Juab in the lead as other teams fell to their defeats. Team events were successful and resulted in a second place in the boys 4x400 meter relay Coby Pay, Allen Bosh, Scott Stubbs, and Aaron Coray , a second place in the boys Medley Relay Travis Royce, Greg Johnson, Ammon Coray, and Bart Garrett , and for the girls, a fourth place in the 1600 meter tJephi weather Norma Sherwood, reporter Date High Low Prec.
