Show Mil. and Mus. Bandjiann. We had a pleasant cull yesterday from these eminent artistes who are now playing a brief engagement of three nights in this city. The gentleman is of German Ger-man birth, but is naturalized American and has "starred" most successfully in both hemispheres, winning golden opinions and golden coin in Europe, Australia and the United States. Mrs. Bandmann we well remember seeing nearly nine years ago, when Miss Millie Mil-lie Palmer, in Liverpool, playing Virginia Vir-ginia to G. V. Brooke's Virginius, and she then displayed the high order of histrionic talent which has since been so well cultivated and matured. Large audiences should greet these artistes ar-tistes during their very limited engagement engage-ment here, I l ill hi m i.iii.ijiiniiinii |
