Show Public invited ! to see art slides today I Jessie J. Dalton will be the ! commentator on some forty ! colored slides depicting the j backgrounds of modern paint- i ing in France, at the Haf en- Dallin Club meeting this afternoon. after-noon. The meeting is held in the clubroom of Memorial Hall at 4:15 p.m., and an invitation is given the public to attend. Last week nearly forty club members and guests enjoyed the beautiful colored slides procured from the National Gallery of Art, Washington D. C, on the subject of American painting. Mary Schwartz gave the lecture, commenting on the work of such well-known artists as Copley, West, Stewart, Ste-wart, Inness, Homer, ,. Eakins, Ryder, Henri, Bellows, Marin and others as the pictures were shown. ! The afternoon entertainment J proved interesting and educa- tional. It was the second in a j series of four fall meetings which are open to the public. : Mrs. F. C. Packard presided in the absence of the president, 1 Mrs. Harold Christensen. |
