Canyonlands Group Bids for Support "Let your elected representa-tives know your desires as to the establishment of a Canyonlands National Park," was the plea issued by Bill Bruhn, Chairman of the Citizens Committee for Canyonland National Park to an interested group of citizens at Steel Workers Hall in Magna. Mr. Bruhn and Prof. Lyman Smart of the Brigham Young University portrayed the areas to the group by means of a film slide presentation. Professor Smart told the, group that as a teacher of literature, he could find no yard stick to measure the value of beauty in prose. "Nor can we place a dollar value on the beauties of the Canyon-lan- d area," Mr. Smart said. Bruhn, who is a former Gar-field County Commissioner, voiced the fear that unless we adopt a firm attitude toward the creation of such a park, chances are great that such an oppor-tunity might be lost to our state He pointed out that the bill intro-duced by Senator Frank E. Moss has the blessing of Secretary of Interior Udall, and President Kennedy. Utah.
