Show My ton City News Section Mr. and Mrs. Lester Blanchard of Myton are the proud parents of a baby girl, born on Armistic Day, November 11. Mr. Blanchard is In the armed forces. Mrs. Blanchard Blanch-ard is the former Miss Rhea Gentry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Gentry of Ioka. Friday Bridge The Brid club met at the home of Mrs. Bliss Lott. The following fol-lowing were present: Mrs. W. E. Kronquist of Ft. Duchesne Mrs. Wm. R. Preece, Mrs. Wm. H, Koehler, Mrs. Homer Robinson, MLss Alice Todd, Mrs. Dorothy Palmer and Mrs. Grace Dalgleish. , Mrs. LeRoy Nielson of Manti is visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Loyal Perry. Her husband is in the armed forces. Armistic Program An Armistic Day program was held at the Elementary school in which the following numbers were rendered: Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, The Star Spangled Banner Ban-ner was sung by the school; talk by Commander Anderley; song and drill, first grade; There are many flags, 3rd grade Appropriate songs were sung by the different grades; allegiance to the Flag, Sth grade; trumpet I Mr. and Mrs. B. L. Dart of : Price were visiting here a few , days the first part of the week. ; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Wall . of Randlett were visiting Mr. and . Mrs. Dave Allen. A group or young people gathered gather-ed at the Ruben S. Snyder home Thursday evening in honor cf Robert H. (Bob) Snyder. Bob lias been inducted in the U. Navy and left for his preliminary training Monday. Mrs. Earl Eggelston of Salt Lake City was visiting her husband hus-band and son over the week end. Birthday Party Mrs. Homer Robinson entertained entertain-ed a group of young folks Saturday Satur-day in honor of Wilda Fays eighth birthday. Games were played and refreshments were served. . Mrs. Wm. Jennings is spending her annual leave home this week. She is nursing at Ft. Duchesne. Clifford Adams returned Friday Fri-day from Salt Lake City where he has been receiving medical aid for an injury received years ago. Miss Erma Babcock of Salt Lake City went back to work Friday after visitingr her parents, Mr .and Mrs, Earl Babcock. Mrs. Wm. . Linck and daughter, daugh-ter, Margo went to Salt Lake City Friday. Fritz Schleitz has moved back from the Smith Ranch for . the winter. Howard L. Crapo, sister and family of St. Geoorge have moved here to make their home. Orson Ungrich of Salt Lake City was visiting his mother, Mrs. Leonard Harris over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Wall of Randlett is visiting Mrs. Wall's mother, Mrs. Dave Allen. Mrs. Delia Miller of Salt Lake City is spending a few days visiting visit-ing friends and taking care of business. Mrs. Charles Oliver of Salt Lake City went home Wednesday. She has been visiting her mother, Mrs. Maud Woods for the past two weeks. Mrs. Kale Parker moved to the Moon hotel for the winter Sunday. Mrs. Ruben Snyder spent the week end in Roosevelt with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Lambert, Lam-bert, v Mrs. Emma Tanner spent the week with Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Tanner. Roland Krebs and Emery Nielson Niel-son went to Salt Lake Monday. Joe Bchunln of Salt Lake City cams home Sunday to visit his father, George Behunin. Mrs. Andrey Fahrenbuch and son is staying with her mother, Mrs. Maud Woods while her hus-and hus-and is being transferred. Mrs. Homer White of Rawlings was visiting her brother and family, fam-ily, Chester Mathisen over the week end. Dr. and Mrs. R. C. Dalgleish and daughter were visiting Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish Thursday Thurs-day and Friday. James Rhine was in Duchesne Monday taking care of business. Mrs. Ed. Hart of Duchesne and and sister, Mrs. Charles Thompson Thomp-son were visiting Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish 1st week. The following met at the home of Mrs. Peatross to surprise Mrs. Mary Miller before leaving for Salt Lake City: Lydia Peatross, Mrs. Mm. II. Koehler, Mrs. Loni Milliner, Mrs. Dorothy Palmer, Mrs. Wm. Giving, Mrs. Emery Nielson, Mrs. Homer Robinson, Mrs. Jennie Tuttle and Mrs. Rose Englesbe. Mrs. Emery Nielson accompanied accompan-ied Mrs. George Funk, Mrs. Stella Stel-la Funk and Mr. and Mrs. Fred W. Todd to Duchesne Monday. Mrs. Dorothy Palmer left for Salt Lake City Tuesday to join Mr. Palmer in Santa Monica. She has been taking care of business here. |
