Show OBITUARY NOTES THOMAS WOOLLEY died at pleasant grove may 1896 of pneumonia thomas woolley aged agea 70 years brother woolley joined the church of jesus christ ot of latter day saints in fogland england eini emigrated grated to utah in the year 1856 settling at ale pleasant anaut grove drove he held the office of counselor to bishop john brown for thirty years and until the bishop resigned on account of ill health he was also an alderman in the city council for a number of terms besides holding many positions in the gift of the people he made frequent journeys journey across the blaids blains to assist the poor in immigrating to zion he filled a mission to great britain in the years 1870 and 1871 brother woolley was a staunch tatter latter day saint in all that the term implies he has done much to build up this state and carries with him to the grave the love of the community D JANE HALL I 1 died at gerville eagerville Ea union ward apache county arizona april 5 1896 of old age sister jane hall she was born in north carolina march 2 1810 joined the church at an early da day ana and was with the saints at nauvoo was well acquainted with wilb the prophet joseph and bis family and was one of the members of the first relief society she came to utah in 1852 and settled at ogden she spent the greater part of her long life among the sick nick and afflicted and was waa ever ready and willing to do all she could for their relief she was a faithful wife a kind and loving mother and a true friend she was a faithful and conscientious ious latter day saint and died as she had lived in the faith she had a happy and cheerful disposition and made mad many friends wherever she sho went she was the mother of ten children oDly five or 01 whom are living to mourn her death relatives relative sto abo mourn her loss the funeral services were hold held at peter deboro bishop henry hughes presided resided there were present on the stans stand elders andrew anderson elias davis and W D cranney an and many others the choir sang 0 god our help in ages past prayer by elder wm kidman sen singing sister thou was mild and lovely all the brethren spoke words of comfort to those who had bad cause to mourn upon this occasion ane choir sang farewell all earthly honors benediction by elder elias davis sister nora finnens Hin body was then taken to smithfield and laid away conference enoe she emigrated to utah in 1855 and was married to thomas crowther Crowt ber november of the same year at cedar city iron county utah from this place moved with her husband in IM 1860 to ephraim sanpete county and in 1861 removed to fountain green of the same county where she tooka prominent part in the relief belief society holding the office of first counselor to the president of that ward in 1890 she abe removed with her family to sanford col where she continued her labors holding the office of second counselor to the president of the relief society of the san luis stake sister crowther was the mother of twelve children two of whom have gone before her she leaves an aged husband ten children forty nine grandc grandchildren hildron one brother one sister and a host of friends to mourn her loss losia she had been failing in health about eighteen mon months bat oblate of late had appeared to be improving and on may was waa at a birthday of one of her daughten daugh tera tem on the i s ing of may 2nd and brother crowther left to sleeping while he went out to stock being out about fifteen fifi leen mcinaw and on returning to the house found had passed away
