Show close to the front but saw no fighting france nov 29 mr L J larson bloomington utah dear father I 1 received our most welcome letter yesterday jest erday was glad to bear hear that you were all well and that the flu got much of a hold in washington county it BO so bad here now but I 1 saw the worst of it at debarkation point it was awful all over the country I 1 was glad when we were ordered to the front of course we get into the front lines but was back of nancy and saw and heard some of the big bombardment tor for two weeks before the armistice it Is all over now I 1 guess president wilson will come over eoon soon we many patients now only about three hundred and all but a lew few can walk so I 1 expect we will be moved to another place before long there much tor for our unit to do now and we are having a real easy time I 1 dont expect to get out of the army before next summer of course id like to see a little more of france and then go into germany I 1 nas out to the place where joan of arc are was born and saw all the sights around there gen ings headquarters were close to there I 1 went up to it too we get lots of time to loaf around close but no pass so as to get to see much but are having a good time at that hope these few lines reacted reaches es you soon and that you are all well as I 1 am As ever your son reuben larson bass base hospital box 70 A P 0 A E forces france |
