Show MARTIN G kuktis dv irv DIED YESTERDAY came to brigham city in 1891 was custodian and landscape gardner at a t court house for 18 years martin G korth age 77 years one of 0 the highly respected residents ot of this city died yesterday afternoon at at the family home at north main street in this city after an extended illness of cancer ot of the stomach mr korth was born january 10 1848 at hammer germany in the year 1869 he married miss aliss bertha muller also of hammer hamme r germany he moved to new zealand in 1874 where he embraced the gospel as taught by the latter day saints and acted as branch president until 1891 when he emigrated to america ile he came direct to brigham city where he has resided since that time during his residence here lie he has been actively engaged ta n church work and during the past eighteen years has been custodian and landscape gardner at the court house grounds a line of work he learned and followed in his native land mr air korth was a hard worker possessed of a very congenial nature and had many ciany friends in this community surviving are his wife and the following children rudolph korth of california frederick korth of gar land mrs airs hulda gibbs mrs richard daty baty and mrs woodruff olsen of oe harper ward william korth orson korth mrs james bywater mrs AT D robinette and mrs alma thompson of brigham city mrs nels of ogden also 64 grand children and 12 great grand children two ot of his sons sona and one grand daughter have filled missions and three grand sons are now in the mission field funeral services will be held thursday afternoon at 1 at the fourth ward chapel under the direction ot of bishop A M hansen interment will be at the city cemetery the body may be viewed at the family home thursday morning between the hours of 10 and 1230 |
