Show Off the top Homecoming It’s Homecoming week! Now this can be big fun! Even for me a semi football fan Homecoming can be exciting When you have kids at the high school you can’t help but be drawn in to the excitement a little We had boys at our house this weekend reviewing last springs yearbook They were looking for new ideas for a homecoming dance date There was a lot of hooping and laughing They may sound pretty 'macho' in my family room but those guys are big chickens when they get in front of a girl My senior needed a friend to accompany him when he delivered he left balloons in a his invitation cellophane wrapped car He didn't even talk to her! Wow! didn’t realize the agony boys go through to ask someone out on a date They fear rejection! They think the girl will laugh in their face or ignore the invitation Come on guys! Girls aren't that cruel remember when Jim Of course would ask me out to special dances He was apt to leave a teddy bear with a note pinned to it Maybe things haven't changed much in 20 years There is more to Homecoming than the big dance The bigfootball game Pride is at stake Face it if the guys lose the game their dates will be consoling the football players all evening Now now that is not going to happen We are definitely going to win this game Isn’t that how administrators plan the football schedule They make sure the Homecoming game is against a team we have a chance of beating may be out of line but come on wouldn’t want to play Gunnison North Sevier for Homecoming And North Sevier wouldn’t want to play Kanab this week either The bonfire powder puff assemblies dressing up as a hippy and wearing school colors is all part of the fun Why don't we all follow "suit" and wear recreation clothing in in The Adult Education Program for the Gunnison Valley area is scheduled to begin on The virus may also be transmitted to humans by touching the nyauth or nose afler handling com taminated materials A rodent’s bite can also spread the virus According to Central Utah Health Officer Robert Resendes “With just over half of all infected persons dying and most cases occurring in the western states and with no vaccine or cure yet available— we can’t be too careful about IPS" Avoiding affected areas with general household disinfectant solutions such as Lysol or bleach and water or ammonia Cleaning of areas with large numbers of rodents should include the wearing of latex or rubber you change your clocks back from Daylight Savings Time Having a set time of the year when you change your batteries is a good way to help remind you how old they are Old batteries can be used in
