BRUCE CURTIS CUR-TIS and HAL HATCH, both recently re-cently returned missionaries, shared the time. Because of working assignments assign-ments out of town, BRYAN WHEELER has been released as general secertary of the Aaron ic Priesthood. GLEN CORNWALL was released at ' the same time. Sustained in Over at the BOB WOOD home on Ramona Avenue on Sunday evening the Gleaner Girl M Men class listened to BOB HERZOG tell of his experiences ex-periences as an LDS missionary in South Africa. Proud parents of a baby daughter are Mr. and Mrs. MARVIN R. CURTIS, 1403 Harrison Ave. The little gal is their first and she was born on Jan. 17. On the occasion of their 25th wedding, anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. WILLIAM R. JOHNSON will be at home to their friends Sunday, Ja. 29, from 4 to 6 and from 8 to 10 o'clock at 2202 Douglas Street. Assisting them in receiving their friends will be their daughter BILLIE JOHNSON PERKINS and son WALLY. Sunday, Jan. 22, was a double celebration at the home of MR. and MRS. CHARLES BITTER, 2309 South Eighth East. Both have recently celebrated their birthdays and made it a joint event and celebrated with a family dinner. Nineteen members mem-bers of the immediate family were present. Out of town guests were ELDON BITTER and family of Provo and MR. and MRS. CHARLES A. GRO-BERG GRO-BERG (Helen Bitter) and family fam-ily of Ogden. FUND CHAIRMAN Howard How-ard V. Price has been naniedd 1950 Fund Chairman Chair-man for the Salt Lake County Chapter of American Ameri-can Red Cross. All moved into a new house are those lucky ELIJAH THOMPSONS. Their home has just been completed on Garfield Ave. just east of 10th East. They'll be missed over on Ramona Ra-mona Ave. where they lived for several years, but at least we .4 not lose them from the wa d. Some more THOMPSONS, TJONN'A and BOB this time are jng to be missed no end und these parts. BOB has been transferred to Idaho Falls and our loss is certainly anothei ward's gain. Both young people have been very active here. BOB is well known for his young people's chorus as well as hi.", activities in the Seventies Quorum. Quor-um. DONNA has been a counselor coun-selor in the MIA this year. We're all mighty proud of oui MIA mixed quartet composed of PEARL FLORENCE, EILEEN EI-LEEN OSMOND, VERN AN DERSON and DICK STORRS. They won out in the stake try-outs try-outs last week and will represent repre-sent us in the intra-stake finals this week. Q Speaking of the Mutual, the ike Gleaners and M Men were iyileged to hear DR. HENRY EYRING last week at their firesidie. Friday night, Jan. 27th, MIA members from fifteen on up will dance. Saturday night a like dance will be held for the members mem-bers of Scout and Beehive age.
