Show Intermittent Paralysis. The case of Frederic H. Couch, of Birmingham, Bir-mingham, is still a puzzling one to the doctors. Some time ago Mr. Couch fell while at work and struck his throat on a bench. He became dumb and could not utter a word for several days. His voice came back to him suddenly one day, but since that he has lost the power of his speech several times. He as suddenly sud-denly regains fee faculty, but it does not remain withiiim for any length of tone. His predicament is a curious one. Sometimes he tries to speak, only to find that he has suddenly been stricken dumb, and there is nothing to do but to wait for his voice to come back again. New Haven Palladium. |
