Mr. Sperry, who works for the Northeastern Utah Service Center in Heber, showed both teachers and students ways to make math fun. The trip was made by Mrs. Weins, her husband, and three young daughters and took them from the northern tip of Aftica to the extreme southern point of the continent. Ms. Blair was traveling south on Park Avenue when she hit a curb and apparently lost control of her vehicle. She hit the Florence car as she attempted to make the tum at Heber Ave. Damage to the Florence auto was estimated at between $200 and $300. The fund raising event grossed over $9,000 of which $1000 will be netted by the ski dub. This represents a 100 percent increase over the proceeds garnered at the September swap. The money raised will help defer the cost of the ski racing program which benefits over 60 youngsters of varying ages. Park City officers Dennis Leatham and Mike Crowley apprehended the moonlight duffers after pursuing them over fairway and rough. The group had broken a lock to gain access to the carts which are stored under the golf course clubhouse. The twelve were charged with criminal trespass and criminal mischief and referred to juvenile court. CCAG MEETING NOV. 19 ' Park Citys Concerned Citizens Action Group will hold its next regular meeting on November 19th at 7: 30 in the Memorial Building. School Superintendent Dr. Richard Goodworth is scheduled to appear at this meeting. Dr. Goodworth has expressed a desire to be made aware of the feelings and attitudes of Park City parents and will pose questions to those in attendance. He will also answer questions pertaining to Park Citys educational system. The CCAG for Schools is open to all interested persons. Anyone wishing to attend is urged to do so. HALLOWEEN PARADE Marsac students celebrated Halloween on Thursday, October 31st, with a parade up and down Main Street during the afternoon. A carnival was held that evening at the school with both parents and students attending. |
