A house to house campaign has been made this week to obtain accommodations accom-modations for students desiring to attend at-tend the B. A. C. with gratifying results. re-sults. It is is believed that comfortable comfort-able quarters can be provided for all desiring to come here, either in the Shape of board In private homes or rooms in dwellings. A committee, consisting con-sisting of Farley Dalley and Frank Wood have the matter in charge, and an) enquiries received should be hnnd-ed hnnd-ed over to them. They will conduct a sort of clearing house for student rents and boarding places, and if any householder having room to spare was overlooked by the canvassing committee, com-mittee, they should report what they have to this committee. And thus Cedar City people have arose and met another emergency in connection with the B. A. C. and have saved the day for the school this winter. win-ter. But the shortage of house room is a matter which should be kept constantly con-stantly in mind and each householder should add a room or two to his home when circumstances permit. Then if a few of our better off citizens would build cottages to rent, we would soon be beyond peril in this matter. Rents are higher in Cedar City than in most towns of our population, and the rent from small cottages would pay a fair return on the money invested. |
