Show HAFEN-DALLIN CLUB RESUME ACTIVITIES Mrs. Wayne Johnson, president presi-dent of the Hafen-Dallin club, announces that the club will hold its first meeting of this season Wednesday, October 19, at 3 p.m., in the music room in the Art building. Miss Verla Birrel of the B.Y. U., has been re-engaged by the club this year to give a course on PArt 'Appreciation." Those who took the course on "The History His-tory of Art," last year and the large number of interested friends who attended the open house program, know Miss BirreJ to be a very capable, a very entertaining entertain-ing -and charming - lectuKel-- art the club is happy to present to the public this course in a college col-lege subject; this opportunity of learning how to appreciate the works of art we have in our collection and the hundreds of beautiful paintings which hang in our annual exhibit. The object of this course is to give to those who care to avail themselves of the opportunity, training in art appreciation that they may feel more at ease in. the gallery, more able to talk "art" with gallery visitors and more appreciative of art in their homes. It will be a lecture course with no study except for those who want college credit and no social responsibilities. The officers extend to the adult public an invitation to their first meeting Wednesday, October 19, at 3 p. m. |
