Mrs. Jane Blair, 142 Ross Drive, was awakened last Wednesday evening with stomach cramps. She didnt think much about the baby that was due May 10 as she walked down to the bathroom. Things happened so fast I couldnt believe it, said Mrs. Blair. Her water broke and the baby decided to make its entrance into the world. Her husband Ron says he was holding the babys head in one hand and phoning for help with the other. Department heads have been asked to turn in their budget requests for 1979-8- 0 fiscal year in order that a preliminary budget meeting may be Housing held by the council May 31. This will be a work meeting. The public is invited to attend the regular city council meetings June 14 and 28 to hear details of the proposed budget. A review of the budget will be heard June 14 with a public hearing dated June 28 on the adoption of the budget. Mrs. Blair and her new baby, weighing in at 5 lbs. 15 oz., and measuring 19 inches long, were taken to St. Benedicts Hospital following the delivery at home. There were a few complications but nothing serious, boasted the mother. The babys blood was too thick and they had to give her some plasma at the added the father, but hospital, theyre both home now and doing just ur fine." The couple had taken classes in childbirth prior to delivery and felt they really helped. THREE D meeting planned CLEARFIELD -- The Davis County Housing Authority is holding a Community Development Meeting on Tuesday, May 15, at 7:00 p.m. in the basement of the North Branch Davis County Library, address 562 South 1000 East, Clearfield. This meeting will deal mainly with those citizens living on North and South Villa Drive and Ross and Parkway Drive. Topics will cover remaining funds available, assessment of the current program and possibility of future 'programs. Mothers invited to event A special free CLEARFIELD Mother's Day program has been planned for Saturday at Clearfield High by the Clearfield Chamber of Commerce. A Clearfield Mother of the Year will be named, selected from entries submitted to the chamber. Other mothers at the program will also be honored such as youngest, oldest, most children, etc. All area mothers are invited to the free program being held in the Clearfield High auditorium, 1:20-- p.m., according to Martha Mulder, program chairman. A varied program has been planned which includes vocal, piano, drill and dance numbers. There will also be a 3 few selections from some Clearfield High music students, the Falconettes, a modern dance group and the Clearfield Job Corps. The opportunity to learn these functions will be offered by their attendance at Girls State. College, Cedar City, have been selected by the American Legion Auxiliary Unit Number 134 in Clearfield. Delegates were chosen from Clearfield High School. Selected for the honor were Terri Anderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Terrence Anderson, 1129 North 450 South, Clearfield; Susan Jones, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David L. Jones, 2639 North 325 West, Sunset; oil Mary Jayne Patterson, daughter 2556 David Mrs. F. Mr. and Patterson, North 1500 West, Clinton; Julie Taggart, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Blaine S. She likes to Water Ski, Snow Ski, Play Tennis, Play Softball, Likes to cook and read. She plays the Piano. She wants to become a Lawyer. Miss Franklin is on the Debate Team, active in Legislative Forum, Track Team, Free Spirit Club, Junior Class Committee, Works at Sprouse Reitz Variety Store in Clearfield after school and Saturdays. She likes to sew, cook, Water Ski, Snow Ski, plays tennis, Volley ball, baseball, likes to read, is interested in Disco Dancing, and any other type of dancing, and likes Track and Jogging. Miss Jones is in the Pep Band, Marching Band, Hie Free Spirit Club, National Honor Society, is active in Mutual in the L. D. S. Church, has been a Zone Leader for three years in Seminary. She likes to cook, sew, plays tennis, Water Skis, Snow Skis, and likes to dance. She plays the piano and Clarinet. Miss Patterson is in the Junior Gass Committee, Booster Club Vice President, a member of the Spirit Qub. Member of the Future Farmers oT America and a member of Future Home Makers of America. She is in her ninth year in work and has won many awards for her work. She has won a Speech Contest, She has canvassed various neighborhoods for March of Dimes, She likes to read, sew, cook, and dance, swim, ski, volleyball, plays the piano and the guitar as well as the clarinet. She is active in gymnastics and is Assistant Manager of North Temple Taco Time and is a member of the LeDemoiselles, ushered for MARY JAYNE PATTERSON Ballet West for past two years.
