In 1919 she was married to Laurence S. Bowman in Salt 1091 South 1000 Lake City. He died in 1956., She is a member of the Clearfield Community Church. Mrs. Bowman has four sons and two daughter: L. Rogers Bowman, Bountiful; Robert B. Bowman, Huntington Beach, Calif. ; Homer B. Bowman, Westminster, Calif.; James L. Bowman, Clinton; Doris Moffitt, Layton; and Nita Lee Kaysville, Utah. She has 12 grandchildren and three great grandsons. Mrs. Marion Olsen Simmons 75, who died Tuesday, July 8, 1980 was a resident of Clearfield and the mother of Beverly Lorenz. Virgil T. Hilton 80, who died Thursday, July 10, 1980 was with his father-in-laof the McEntire and Hilton Lumber Co. He was the husband of Mabel McEntire. Mr. and Mrs. John I. Thomas recently celebrated 50th their Wedding Anniversary. A family open house was held Saturday, July 12th at the home of Kay Papageorge in Farr West. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas have three Kay daughters, Papageorge, Margaret of Sandy and Laurie Golding of Round Rock, .Texas. They have 12 grandchildren and four Patience n. Geneiva Jacks Marsh, 49, of 1644 N. 350 W., died Saturday, July 5, 1980, at the Davis North Medical Center in Layton after an extended illness. Mrs. Marsh was born July at Pine Bluff, Ark., a daughter of Henry Floyd and Mattie McBee Jacks. V., 13, 1930, She was married to Harley Arthur Hensley in 1946 in Pine Bluff, Ark. They were later divorced. She was married to Charles Larry Marsh on Dec. 16, 1967, at Las Vegas, Nev. She was a member of the Sunset 2nd LDS Ward. Surviving are her husband of Sunset; two sons and one miVGDISK daughter, James R. Hensley, North Ogden; Charles L. Marsh Jr., Sunset; Carla Jane Marsh, Nampa, Idaho; seven grandchildren. Also surviving are her mother, Mrs. Mattie Dowdy, Vallejo, Calif.; one brother and one sister, J.R. Jacks, Houston, Tex.; Mrs. Billie Ann Stolz, Valiejo, Calif. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Sunset 2nd Ward Chapel, 338 W. 1800 N., with Bishop Mel Vem Wood officiating. Friends may call at the Myers Mortuary in Roy Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the ward chapel Thursday from 10 a.m. until services. Alisa, Natalee Buck, Teresa Thomas and Deanna Bergevin make up the Club of the Giggling Gourmets. The club members hold their meeting at 11:00 every Tuesday. They are making cheese and egg dishes and quick breads this year. 4-- H Mrs. Bergevin is the leader. Natalee Buck says that I couldnt have had a better leader. Every one agrees. The Giggling Gourmets have had several club meetings some in which they have made fruit plates, waffles and omelets, macaroni and cheese. Deanna, and Natalee Reporters Davis County rodeo queen selected Twelve contestants from throughout the state competed for the title of Davis County Fair Rodeo Queen at the Davis Downs track in Farmington this week-end. Taking top honors was Diane Hooper, 21 daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Hooper of Hooper. The blonde, blueeyed queen will also be serving as first attendant to the queen of the Ogden Pioneer Days next week. Serving as her attendants during the Davis County Fair on Aug. 21, 22 and 23 will be Vicki Vest, first attendant and Annette Cox, Becond attendant. Miss Vest, 17, a daughter and Mrs. Donald Vest, Roy, also received both the horsemanship and the appearance awards. She is a student at Roy High School. She is also first attendant for the IRS rodeo queen and is second attendant to the State High School rodeo queen. Miss Cox, 19, Is a daughter of Mr . of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Cox, Hooper. She is currently serving at the Hill Air Force Base rodeo queen. Named as Miss Congeniality was Barbara Christiansen of Provo. Besides her tiara, the queen received a saddle, a belt buckle and will have her expenses paid to enter the Miss Utah Rodeo competition.
