Show Pageant Marks Opening of 29th Art Exhibit The doors of the Spring-ville High School Art building were opened Wednesday for townspeople towns-people and the general public to view what has been described des-cribed by members of the art committee as "one of the best exhibit! ever." Marking the opening of the April art event was the Pageant Pag-eant presented' Wednesday to students and in the evening to an appreciative audience of art patrons. It was one of the nicest entertainments of its . kind and portrayed how the Springvillo art has contributed contribut-ed to the development of the high school and what it means in the lives of students. The gallery will be open as has been the custom in past years daily from 9 a.m. until 0 p.m. and groups and individuals individ-uals are invited to make tours. Programs will be available to those who desire one, listing the paintings and the artists. There are in the exhibit this year a total of 271 paintings done by some of the outstanding outstand-ing artists in the country. In addition, there are seven pieces piec-es of sculpture. Anyone picture pic-ture or piece of sculpture work alone is, worth the time of a visit to the gallery. |
