Show BOYS ARE ACCUSED OF BURGLARY TWO CHARGED WITH depredations AT GLENWOOD both are arrested and confess to offense arthur and wade miles twelve year old boys were caught in thu act of breaking into the lloa at glenwood park and stealing goods stored at that place at 1130 this morning and were arrested by deputy sheriff robert shaw who had been hiding in tho building to watch for two months past tho proprietors of the goods stored in the pavilion have been suffering from the acts of pilfer ers who have depleted their stock of candies and cigars and other valuables tho matter was reported to the sheriffs office and deputy sheriff shaw was detailed to handle tho matter at 7 this morning he stationed himself in the building before 11 two small boys crossed the river on skates and catered the grounds they pried off boards from ine office window and crawled through mr shaw left them alone for some time drawers were opened and ransacked and the contents assorted according to ahe youthful idea of value when the officer entered the room the lads claimed they were looking for a pocket knife left there several days before at the jail the youthful offenders visited by their surprised parents and relatives who will answer for their appearance next monday morning the boys confess to having entered the building three times and offer to give evidence incriminating several other boys the usual method of entering the building in the past was by breaking out the glass in the office window |
