Show WEBB WINS ELEVEN POINTS AT DELTA MILFORD TAKES FOURTH PLACE AT DISTRICT MEET The high school track team, under the tutelage of Mel Heslington, journeyed to Delta Saturday, where they entered in track and field competition com-petition with athletes from seven other high schools representing this district. Milford took 4th place with 12 points, with Hurricane, first, points, with Hurricane winning fijst, Dixie second, and Delta third. Milford's chief point getter was Lawrence Webb, who gleaned 11 of his team's total. He won the broad jump, tied for the high jump, and took second in the pole vault. Mil-ford's Mil-ford's other point was scored by Horace Palmer, who placed in the 220-yard dash. ' Webb will be entered in the state track meet to be held at the Univer-ity Univer-ity of Utah today. He will enter the broad jump. The following schools were represented repre-sented at Delta: Dixie, Delta, Hurricane, Hurri-cane, Beaver, Minersville, Milford, Hinckley, and Fillmore. |
