Show Funeral Conducted Tuesday For Rosetta M. Weeks The Third ward chapel was well filled Tuesday afternoon with relatives rel-atives and friends who gathered to pay last tribute of respect to the memory of Rosetta M. Weeks and to offer sympathy to her family. The impressive service directed by Bishop Calvin Walker of the Third ward began at 1 o'clock. Mrs. J. E. Hardman, Mrs. Lee Beers and Mrs. Glade Bullock sang the opening number "Teach Me to Pray." Invocation was offered by Harold Bullock. Speakers who paid tribute to the life and works of Mrs. Weeks and offered words of faith an,d encouragement en-couragement to her family were Neils Fugal, Joseph S. Walker and Joseph Olpin. All paid high tribute trib-ute to the pioneer families of Mr. and MrgWeeks, the Marrotts and the Weeks; and enjoined those left behind to follow in the paths their parents marked for them and hold on to the sacred sacraments of the Church. Mrs. Hardman, Mrs. Beers and Mrs. Bullock sang "In the Garden" and Bishop Walker expressed appreciation ap-preciation and sympathy for the family. After the closing number, "I Walked Today, Where Jesus Walked," sung by Warren Kirk, accompanied by Mrs. Kirk, Milton Adamson pronounced the benediction. benedict-ion. Prelude and portlude organ music was played by Mrs. Mary Neves. Interment in the Pleasant Grove City cemetery was made under the direction of Olpin Mortuary Mor-tuary and Robert W. Marrott offered of-fered the dedicatory prayer. Pall bearers were four grandsons, grand-sons, Stanley, Donald, Glen and Dennis Weeks and two nephews, Harold Bullock and Archie Green. Rosetta Marrott Weeks was born in Pleasant Grove on Feb. 20, 1876 to William and Louisa Fowlke Marrott. She attended the local schools and grew to womanhood woman-hood here. On March 7, 1900 she was married to Hyrum Sanford Weeks in the Salt Lake LDS temple. tem-ple. Her husband died in 1942. She was the mother of 4 children, child-ren, one of whom, Loren R. Weeks died in 1944. Mrs. Weeks was a loyal member of the LDS church and for many years has been actively act-ively engaged in Relief Society work. Survivors include one son, S. Lynn Weeks, and two daughters, Mrs. Vilace (Fern) Radmall, and Miss Helen Weeks, all of Pleasant Grove; one brother, Louis Marrott i of Provo, and one sister, Mrs. Eva M. West of Salt Lake City. Eleven grandchildren and three great-.grandchildren. great-.grandchildren. The following out of town people attended the funeral. Mrs. Lorin R. Weeks, Mrs. Glen R. Weeks, and Dennis and Dell Weeks all of Burley, Idaho; Mr. and Mrs. Hal Walker of Kimberly, Idaho; Mr. Lewis Marrott, Mrs. Zella Clegg, Mr. Albert Cullimore, of Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence H. Weeks and son Richard of Clearfield, Mr. andMrs. Walter Peterson, Mrs. Grace Nelson and Mrs. Edna Lunt of Woods Cross; Mrs. Phyllis W. Richins, Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Jones, President J. Angus Christensen, Blaine Hansen, Mrs. Rachel Hayes Moore of Spanish Span-ish Fork; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wright, Lehi. Mrs. Sophia Crookston, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Crookston, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hoglund, Mr. Archie Green, of American Fork; Mr. and Mrs, Stanley L. Weeks, Mrs. James Marrott and Mrs. Hattie Backus all of Orem. |
