Show Carma Clyde-Kenneth Russell Temple Rites Followed By Home Reception One of the lovliest social func--ons of the fall season was the '.vedding and reception for newly-''eds, newly-''eds, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Rus-''X Rus-''X both of Springville. The couple exchanged wedding ''s in the Salt Lake Temple on Friday, October 31, and were hon- red with a reception at the hom.3 ' the bride's parents Saturday -"n'r.g. Immediately after their rriago they were guests, to--;th;r with members of the wed ding party, at a dinner given by the groom's parents, at Hotel Utah. Formerly Miss Carma Clyde, the charming bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Cornell Clyde and the groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Russell. A beautiful gown of lace entrain en-train with insert yoke of satin and long pointed satin sleeves, high neckline and a tight fitting bodice with tiny button trim, was chosen by the bride for her wedding attire. at-tire. The veil, finger-tip length, was fashioned to a satin, lace trimmed, close-fitting bonnet. She carried a bridal bouquet of pink rose-buds centered with an orchid. Attending her as matron of honor hon-or was Mrs. Jerry Doman of Mid-vale, Mid-vale, while Bonnie Ames was maid of honor and Vonda Clayson, Nelda Behrman, Marion Bird, Jean Allan and Marlene Stewart were bridesmaids. brides-maids. They were gowned in for-mals for-mals of acqua graduating from a deep to a very light shade of similar sim-ilar design and each wore a single strand of pearls, a gift from the bride and carried bouquets of split carnations in pink and white. Their corsages were of pink and white carnations. Receiving guests at the door were Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Clyde, grandparents of the bride. Floral arrangements in pink and white and white candelabra decorated dec-orated the entertaining rooms and a prettv 3-tiered lace cake, trimmed trim-med with wedding bells flanked with white tapers in an arrangement arrange-ment of pink rose-buds, centered the dining table. Receiving gifts were little Karen Roylance and Kathleen Russell in pink formals with halos of pink and white carnations. Mrs. David Salisbury was in charge of the guest book. Mrs. Lula Clark. Mrs. Harriet Burt, Mrs. Louise Clvde and Mrs. Ha Cook were in charge of gift arrangement. Mrs. George presided presid-ed over the serving assisted by Mrs. Lois Nielson, Mrs. Ivy Thorn, Mrs. Louise Gammell. Mrs. Verna Coffman, Collette Palfreyman and Mrs. Hazel Clyde. Throughout the evening, background back-ground music was furnished on the piano by Mrs. Maurice Bird. The couple will leave today to ! make their home for the present j at Barksdale, La., near Shrevet- i port, where the groom, who re- j cently returned from Korea, will j be stationed with the airforce. j |
