Kids ballet and tap The Park City Recreation Department, through Community Com-munity Education is now offering kids (ages 5 -12) ballet and tap dance through our dance coordinator, Mary Jane Bird. Young sharpshooters' course Kids ages 8 -14 years will receive training in the basics of correct gun handling and marksmanship, utilizing Daisy air guns (B-B guns) for instruction. The folks at the Recreation Department have given everyone a break from spiking, blocking and bumping and now it's time to return to our most requested sport: volleyball. Every Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. at Park City High, doubles and six-man teams will have an opportunity to test their skills through March 30. This program is offered through Community Education. Free movie The film "The Hiding Place," which is about a woman's struggle in a Nazi prison camp, will be shown in the Memorial Building on Saturday, Jan. 30 at 8 p.m. PTA meeting There will be a PTA meeting on Tues. Jan. 26 at 7:30 p.m. at Parley's Park Elementary School. Soccer registration Sign up for the all new Park City youth soccer program. Boys and girls ages 5-16 will have the opportunity to join the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO), sponsored by the Park City Recreation Department. Last year, over 200 kids participated in Park City. Sign ups will be held in the Memorial Building on two Saturdays: Jan. 23 and Jan. 30. from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Parking during plowing During the snow season, there will be no parking on the east side of each street throughout Park City, and no on-street on-street parking at all in the Park Meadows area to facilitate snow plowing.
